The best thing at sleepy night is being provided by a glass of warm milk. What a life!
While waiting for my flight to Canberra, I was taking a glass of warm milk. Seeing the sky above the planes and drinking a glass of milk, make me wonder about this milk. How many cute cows producing the every single galss of milk I consume? how about the daily farmer? do they live enough by selling this diary product?

Then I remembered that one area in Central java, Indonesia, which is very famous as the diary producer, esp milk, is Boyolali. It is a small village in Central java. The weather is quite medium, not cool and not really hot. The people are nice and warm, and they are very proud called as the milk farmer :)
I then was googling about the food secutity of the people in Boyolali. Logically, they will have very enough food since they are the farmer. No worries about it right?

Surprisingly, the fact is not like that.

Based on kompasinteraktif.com , there are 716 balita (children below 5 y.o - at 2005) has a bad quality of nutrition.Even there are babies with "busung lapar" disease.
The importance of baby nutrition cannot be underestimated. This is a stage in the development of a human being when they are most vulnerable to all sorts of diseases.
I just wondering (sigh...), how come this kind of things are happen? In a village with "tribute" as a village of milk producer, the babies are lack of nutrition (which are contained mostly by the milk).

Cheers,

Lucia
