America quits on climate change
Kinda late news, but it's important news. On July 22, Majority Leader, Henry Reid, officially called it quits on climate change legislation. Yes, a good part of the problem was due to Republicans. Sarah Palin, of course, plays a huge role in the downfall of the Grand Ole Party, but what is even more appalling is that Ms. Palin isn't the only member of the party who is adamant that climate change is not real.
In fact, she isn't even the only member of the Congress period because even Democrats aren't believers to the point that they will throw all efforts behind this bill to push it through in the way that they did with Healthcare. Most are terrified that capping oil and developing the alternative energy sector completely will cripple the economy, but have we forgotten the dot com boom that happened after the development of the internet and the electronics industry?
Obama has a share of the shame pie too. What happened to not accepting second place for America Mr. President? What happened to becoming leaders again Sir? You promised in your State of the Union that we as a country would push forward to innovate and to create newer, greener jobs, to spearhead the move towards alternative energy resources. What happened?
Obviously, nothing. That's the problem.
