Pakistan, Swat: GCC Youth Leaders Got First Position in Painting and Skit Competitions

 
GCC youth leaders of Swat remained active part in cleanliness campaign arranged by Mercy Corps, TMA Swat and Pak Army during the whole month of January, 2012. It was an awareness campaign for the inhabitants to dream for green and clean Swat.

For this purpose the GCC youth leaders participated in range of activities. Some of the activities are given as follow;
 1. Rally for Clean Swat and Opening Ceremony of the Campaign
Rally for Cleanliness from TMA office Mingora to Shuhda Park Saidu Sharif. The rally was followed by an opening ceremony of the campaign where Govt. officials, Pak army representatives, Mercy Corps and CYAAD representatives, and Malala Yousafzai shed light on the importance of  cleanliness in the District and at national and global level. In the event, more than 500 people participated.

2. GCC Youth Leaders got First Prize in Painting Competition
 As a part of cleanliness campaign in swat, GCC/ CYAAD in collaboration with Mercy Corps and Pak Army conducted painting and skit competition where youth leaders of GCC Swat participated along with youth of Swat Scout Open Group and Khlpal Kor Foundation. The GCC youth leader Mehmood Ali got 1st positions out of 10 participants in painting competitions.
 

3. GCC Youth Leaders First Prize in Skit Competition
Skit Competition was also part of the cleanliness campaign and youth leaders of GCC Swat participated along with youth of Swat Scout Open Group and Khlpal Kor Foundation. Youth Leaders Falak Naz, Jawadullah Khan, Israrulhaq, Kaleem Ullah and their peers got 1st positions in skit competition. Youth leaders were highly appreciated by the Pak army, civil society and mercy corps team leaders, Muhammad Riaz Khan for holding first position in all the competitions.
