Searching the Streets of Edinburgh
Twenty-two GCC leaders from Lebanon, Jordan, US and UK wandered the streets of Edinburgh...Scotland. It was the first day of the Middle East Youth Festival, and it started off with a city scavenger hunt. Even though it was pouring down rain and the wind was blowing umbrellas inside out, it didn't matter, it was really fun and we got to know each other right away.
We visted the national galleries, the science museum, the royal mile, the national monument, St Giles Cathedral, Edinburgh castle and even met a bagpiper, claiming to be the true William Wallace. As a team, it brought us closer together and created a strong foundation for the week that followed.
Every day has been filled with activities, trainings and events. On sunday we went to Glasgow and finally got to see some snow. We spent some time at St. Mungo's multi-faith museum, it was interesting to learn more about different religions, faiths and cultures all living together in one place.
The whole week has been really amazing, one of the best weeks I have ever lived in my life. I've learned a lot about how should I accept other's veiws and beliefs and how to be good to others. I don't want to go home.
