Taking Action for Women's Rights in Kalar

GCC leaders in Kalar, Iraq have been very active lately! Watch their video to find out more about what they've been working on, from raising awareness about the importance of education to presenting a play about women's rights.

Ahmed, a student from Kalar, explained more about the play for women's rights in a comment in a GCC discussion group:

"the play was wrote by one of the GCC girls (Her name is Benar and she is 16 years old), She did a great job for this play and all of the GCC youth in the preparatory school also did a great job to acting the play to show the woman rights for the community , It wrote according to the woman problems in the community, it was acted by 5 girls that presents the woman problems and 2 boys that presents the old and new generation, there is some thing like a fight in the play between the old generation who do a violence against the woman  and new generation but at last the good new generation will win in the fight ad the sun will rise up in a new nice day that give the woman their rights."
