Key to the Energy Crisis: People Power

Wondering how you can help in the effort to curb climate change? 350.org, an international organization dedicated to finding global solutions to the climate crisis, is offering a number of ways in which kids, students and adults alike can get involved.
350.org uses an unlimited, completely renewable resource to drive action on the climate crisis: people power. The name ties back to the campaign's mission, which is to reduce the atmospheric level of CO2 to under 350 parts per million. The organization aims to inspire citizens across the country to get active in their community in hopes of creating a global network of kids, students, adults and world leaders that can effectively combate climate change.
The campaign offers a variety of ways to get involved. Individuals can raise money for the 10/10/10 Project, an effort to persuade world leaders to go solar on October 10th, 2010. Students attending universities across the country can enter 'The Great Power Race', an international contest to create the most environmentally stable university campus. Others interested in simply raising awareness about the organization and its mission can join petition groups, write letters to Congressional leaders and attend local events.
But that's still not all. Visit 350.org to learn about the different ways you, your friends and your community can take part.
