MA Scholarships Available for Int'l Students

Centre for Peace and Reconciliation Studies (CPRS), Coventry University, England, is now accepting scholarship application from International students for the MA in Peace and Reconciliation Studies (one year full-time course starting in September 2011).
 
The course is suitable for people who have an academic interest in issues related to peace, conflict, reconstruction, peacebuilding and reconciliation, and mid-career professionals who seek a meaningful addition to their qualifications and experience.
 
The aim of the course includes:
To develop the knowledge and skill base necessary to understand the causes of destructive conflict around the world.


To understand the theory and practice of conflict transformation, peacemaking and peacebuilding at the various levels.


To evaluate alternative modes of action and intervention in the attempt to transform violent and destructive conflict along non-violent and constructive channels.


To draw the attention to the issues of human security and the dilemmas of humanitarian intervention in conflict zones.
