Pakistan: Quetta - International Peace Day - Soccer in the midst of insecurity.
The day started with the recitation of holy Quran.
The participants and guests were welcomed with a sharing of the day’s objective - The goal of International Peace Day aims to promote peace and understanding locally to make an impact globally. To promote the key principles of peace embracing diversity, promoting understanding and fostering inclusiveness.
Organizing a football match in the present critical security situation in Quetta city remained a challenge, however both teams managed to organize a One Day One Goal match.
"One Day One Goal," football match was an opportunity to bring us back to the same platform where energies are transformed in to efforts for the communities’ betterment.”

The event was introduced with the “trading places” exercise; participants truly enjoyed and shared their views about the activity. Next, was a team building exercise the “highest tower”. These two activities not only encouraged the participants but also reduced the stress raised during the week.

GCC youth leaders performed Interactive theatre on the subject of peace and the impact of living in an insecure city on people’s daily lives and behaviors. Through performance youth leaders highlighted the current circumstances of country and the world followed by a productive discussion with the participants, which helped reveal the purpose of the day.
Subsequently, a football match between GCC youth leaders and STREET football was played .Participants really enjoyed the match and they appreciate the effort of CYAAD. More than 130 participants were the part of this great campaign.
