USA: Atlanta - Action Project for AIDS
For Halloween at my school we thought about ways that we could benefit the community, ways that we could have fun, and ways that we could raise money for an important issue. In the end, we chose to have a trunk-or-treat where little kids could be able to come to a safe environment, pay a small ticket fee, and go to individual cars to collect candy. During the week of Halloween on a Thursday, several students and student clubs stayed at school to host cars. Their cars were decorated in various themes and people were able to dress up in fun costumes. When the kids finally arrived, the parking lot was full of music, laughter, and lots of candy as little kids had fun collecting candy and putting them in their pumpkin baskets for an early Halloween treat. In the end, we were able to raise a lot of money for an AIDS organization due to the amount of tickets we sold!
