Commonwealth Essay Competition

The Commonwealth Essay Competition is one of the Royal Commonwealth Society’s annual Young Commonwealth Competitions which encourage young people to use writing, film and photography to respond creatively to global challenges. Run by the RCS since 1883, the Commonwealth Essay Competition is the world’s oldest and largest schools’ writing competition. Open to Commonwealth citizens aged 18 or under on 1 May 2012.

The 2012 Young Commonwealth Competitions are open for entries. In 2012, the essay, photo and film competitions take the Commonwealth theme, 'Connecting Cultures'. The closing date for all competitions is 1st May 2012. Download the leaflet here:
