Iraq: Global Cancer Day

During February GCC leaders  held  an awareness campaign in the tens of female high schools Suli,  GCC leaders coordinated with Health Awareness Center as they a specialist in health education. Few GCC leaders, medical students, made presentation about breast cancer and ways of self-breast check. Brochures also distributed over the high school students to learn more about the breast cancer. Another part of the project is presenting banners on stand in the school campus so that most of the school students have a chance to learn about breast cancer check. About more than 2000 females will be beneficiaries of the project. It is worth mentioning that media will make coverage of the event as they stated that it is a very important topic that MercyCorps’ GCC program chose to work on.
