Iraq: GCC Supplies Kaziwa Kindergarten With Playground Toys And Plants Trees In Kalar Public Park

Kaziwa Kindergarten is one of the new buildings that the Kurdistan Regional Governate ( KRG)  built for Kalar children, although the building is new and is provided with modern design such as new instructional equipments with a peaceful environment for the children,yet a lot of other things that a  child needs have been forgotten such as the entertainment  side of the Kindergarden.

The park needs a large number of playground toys to keep up the excitements and interest of approximately 300 Kindergarden kids . At present  the Kindergarden lacks proper playground equipment, even those which they have are either few and not good enough for use. Thus the director and teachers of the Kindergarden are facing the challenge of making the children interested in coming every day to their kindergarten. Since children normally wait for one  hour are ready to stay indoors after the period then they get bored and start asking about their parents, whereas children need to have fun and enjoy their time while they are in the Kindergarten.

Due to the importance of Kindergarten in children’s life and its powerful impact on their future life as it's merely the only peaceful environment when they dream and make wishes for their future life, they deserve to fulfill their childhood with all love and enjoyment.Thus Mercy corps, Global citizen corps (GCC) in cooperation with Western Zagross Resources are the first one to think of giving a glance of hope and smile to those children; this is why 11 playground toys have been installed in the yard of kindergarten.  GCC youth in cooperation with the arboretum section of Kalar have also donated both trees and flowers to plant them in the Kindergarten garden, which above all will help in a teacher’s challenges in having good relations with the children & keeping them interested, secondly to encourage and entertain them, moreover to share with them the real happiness of childhood.

 Another phase of this project is Kalar's Park which is  located in the center of Kalar city, the park inspite of its prominent  location does not have enough trees, therefore our purpose in making the environment more beautiful and helping the park to go green again GCC youth in Co-operation with arboretum  section of Kalar have planted 50 large trees and more than 200 flowering plants in Kalar Park which eventually the benefits public and people,who can enjoy their times while they take a walk in the park.
