Marie Claire International Photography Award

To give the work of professional photographers, the recognition they deserve, this Award will, with the support of our international editions, reward the best photo reports about women.

Our international jury will select 10 finalists including one Award Winner, who will receive 5 000€ and a a Nikon D800 D-SLR.

The Award Winner’s reportage will be published in Marie Claire France and in several Marie Claire International editions. And to salute all of the 10 shortlisted participants, an exhibition of their work made in partnership with Artelier Vikart will be held in Paris. The reportage submitted by each participant must compulsorily be a photographic reportage devoted to women (other than any “fashion series”)

TO PARTICIPATE, YOU MUST BE
Over 18 years of age.
A professional photographer and alive.

RULES REGARDING THE REPORTAGES
The 10 pictures must be from a single report dedicated to women (excl. fashion shoots).
The pictures must have been taken between January 1st, 2010 and June 30th, 2012.
The pictures may have been published or not.
The pictures should never be digitally retouched in a way that alters their essence.

TIMELINE OF THE COMPETITION
June 30th, 2012 at midnight (French time): deadline to enter the competition.
September 2012: selection of the finalists and Award Winner.

FORMAT OF THE PHOTOS
Format of the digital file: JPEG (*.jpg)
Colour spectrum: RVB
Maximum size of the files: 3 MO
Height of the image: 1,200 pixels
Resolution: 72 dpi
