US: Students Complete Action Center Projects
On June 7th Roosevelt High School in Portland completed their yearlong partnership with the Action Center. After numerous workshops, a videoconference, and hours of hard work, the students successfully presented their projects to fellow classmates and Action Center Education Officer Andi Curry. Students identified problems within their community such as bullying and school overcrowding as well as international issues such as climate change and racial profiling. After analyzing the roots of the problems, they researched and presented effective solutions. Certain youth leaders plan on presenting these solutions to school administrators as well as local school boards. Congratulations to the students of Roosevelt High on their great work!
