Graduation Ceremony of one year GCC program in Swat
The graduation ceremony of GCC one year Youth Leadership Program Swat Pakistan has conducted in Khpal Kor Foundation on April 10, 2011. More than 300 youth and people from different backgrounds and expertise attended the program. Mr. Steve Calborne, Country Director MercyCorps Pakistan attended the program as Chief Guest of the Ceremony while the program was presided by Abdul Rahim Roghanay, the famous Pushto Poet of the recent time.
The participant included the GCC youth leaders, Global Citizens and their parents, Social activists, Heads of Education Institutes, Govt. Officials, Representatives of Print and Electronic Media and CYAAD Quetta Staff.
Mr. Raziq Fahim Exective Director CYAAD shared the youth caliber in Pakistan, global challenges and responses of youth to these challenges, and role of GCC in youth activism and development.
Ms. Naseem Ara, Youth Development Officer CYAAD gave presentation on yearlong achievements of GCC in Swat.
Certificates were distributed in Youth Leaders and Global Citizens while active youth leaders and global citizens were awarded shields for their outstanding activism and active participation in project activities. Shield were also awarded to Support Group for their cooperation and supporting the project in Swat.
The Youth Leaders also actively participated in the program and shared their reflection about GCC; entertained the guest by their performance and exhibited their community service project. Which were highly appreciated by the guest and the participant highly encouraged the youth leaders for their efforts of betterment of their community.
