Highlighted Issue: Hunger

Over 1.02 billion people in the world are undernourished. More than 90 percent of the people affected by hunger live in extreme poverty (less than a dollar a day) in developing countries. The most vulnerable populations are children under five years old and women who are pregnant or breast-feeding.

Flooding in Pakistan

About 20 million people are affected by the massive flooding in Pakistan. Many of these people had been uprooted last year by fighting between militants and government forces, and were just beginning to reestablish themselves when the deluge hit. Learn More
